Pretty much ditto this for any event that doesn't specifically involve or require interaction. So while I do enjoy art, I would probably show up to the event, look around and leave. Also, having gone to art school, I know that professional artists and the sort of people that do that tend to be enormous snobs, and generally I am disinclined to talk to people who show up at such an occasion. So, I don't know of any art gallery openings, nor have a way to learn about those.
